When you plan your wedding, the hardest part is you can not let all the people on your wedding party to be happy all the time! But no other way? The answer is "No". A wedding means a son turn his allegiance from his mother to his wife. So some mothers may not be comfortable with this.

So a good idea is including your in-laws-to-be into your wedding planning. If you can accommodate them and at least some of their demands, it might make your stock rise with them. If you come to some bumps in the road, as you almost certainly will, let your fiancé do the talking. He knows how to talk to his family best.
